One of the world's largest processors and marketers of chicken, beef and pork, as well as prepared foods such as appetizers and snacks, had to successfully consolidate its packaging lines and reduce the number of operators, while also meeting their company policy for stainless steel equipment. As a result of the Food Safety Modernization Act(FSMA), the newly implemented policy requires all machinery to be completely stainless steel construction. Under the new policy aluminum or other material is not acceptable.
The existing packaging line used three uniform case sealers to seal three separate packaging lines. To save space and reduce the number of operators, the customer wanted to combine the three uniform lines into one packaging line using a random case sealer.
The random case sealer had to have the speed to process 20+ cases a minute and be able to stand up to a harsh environment with multiple daily cleanings.
For speed and durability, Loveshaw already had the LDX-RTB. The problem was only a fully stainless steel machine would be accepted. Loveshaw worked with its vendors and was able to provide a competitively priced full stainless steel machine. The LDX-RTB SS provides the benefits of the standard version LDX-RTB and is able to stand up to a rigorous sanitation schedule.
